Una de cada tres empresas ha rechazado a algún aspirante por sus redes sociales

El 36% de las empresas ha desestimado la candidatura de algún aspirante a un puesto de trabajo por la imagen que proyecta en redes sociales, según el informe ‘Talento conectado’ elaborado por Infoempleo con la colaboración de EY.

La mayor parte de las empresas, en concreto el 83%, asegura que consulta las redes sociales de los candidatos preseleccionados antes de tomar una decisión de contratación, sobre todo antes de realizar una entrevista (45%).

El informe, presentado este martes en rueda de prensa, revela que los aspectos que más influyen en las empresas a la hora de rechazar a un candidato son los de hacer apología de cualquier tipo de violencia o discriminación (76%), promover el consumo de drogas o alcohol (75%) y el uso de imágenes poco apropiadas (73%) por parte del candidato.

 

Para seis de cada diez reclutadores de personal, el candidato activo en redes sociales tiene más oportunidades laborales que el inactivo. No obstante, el 35% opina que los candidatos no trabajan de forma adecuada su marca personal.

 

Las empresas también son conscientes de que su presencia en canales digitales es relevante: para el 95% de ellas tener una buena imagen de empleador es muy importante para atraer el mejor talento.

No obstante, cuando los candidatos a un puesto tienen una experiencia negativa, el 40% se muestra menos propenso a comprar un producto/servicio de la marca, y el 73% compartiría sus malas impresiones acerca de la empresa con su círculo más cercano (90%), con la propia empresa (19%) y a través de sus redes sociales o en algún otro espacio ‘online’ (17%).

LA FALTA DE RESPUESTA AL CANDIDATO, LO MÁS NEGATIVO

Mientras que el 71% de las empresas declara mantener informados a todos los candidatos sobre el estado de su solicitud de empleo, éstos aseguran que el aspecto más negativo en su experiencia es la falta de respuesta (62%), seguida por el uso demasiado comercial que le dan las compañías a sus cuentas en redes (31%) y la falta de ofertas de empleo (22%). Además, sólo cuatro de cada diez candidatos aseguran recibir información sobre el estado de su solicitud de empleo.

En opinión de éstos, las empresas deberían mejorar sus procesos de selección, principalmente en lo que concierne al tiempo de respuesta (70%), simplificación en las herramientas para la postulación de candidatos (39%) y difusión de las ofertas (39%).

En cuanto a la búsqueda de nuevas oportunidades, los portales de empleo son la primera opción para los candidatos (98%), seguidos de web corporativas (95%) y empresas de selección (93%).

Las redes sociales son también un canal frecuente para encontrar trabajo, según reconocen el 88% de los usuarios que, sobre todo, emplean LinkedIn (55%) y Facebook (54%). Pese a ello, sólo el 48% de los profesionales con cuentas en estos medios afirma haber sido contactado por estos canales en relación a una oferta de empleo en, al menos, una ocasión. No obstante, el 63% de ellos finalmente no consiguió el trabajo.

Por su lado, para las empresas, los portales web de empleo siguen siendo la herramienta más utilizada para reclutar trabajadores (97%), mientras que el uso de las redes sociales como medio para captar talento ha reducido su importancia y ha perdido diez puntos en los dos últimos años, pasando de un 84% en 2016 al 74% actual.
